Da Paolo Gastronomia
Singapore
Italian fine grocery & café branding and retail design
-
WHY?: Our challenge was to revamp the beloved Italian grocery concept and customer experience for Da Paolo Gastronomia for its new pilot location in Great World City mall, in Singapore. The refreshed concept was and will be further rolled-out in all locations across Singapore.
HOW?: We brought together key elements to rejuvenate the concept, focusing on authenticity, modernity, and seamless experiences. By highlighting product origins and values, we engaged a more conscious audience. While staying true to Da Paolo’s heritage, we introduced a modern Italian vibe to stand out. Operations were optimized across all physical and digital touchpoints to ensure a smooth experience for both customers and staff.

Relay creative adaptation

WHY?: Our goal was to create a compelling proposal for a new tender for blended essentials in 3 locations in one of the top five largest airports in the world: Heathrow Airport. Our challenge was to clearly address passengers’ differing perceptions of "essential" items and expectations.
HOW?: We delivered a premium retail fit-out that redefines the high-street experience, tailored to the modern, sophisticated environment of Heathrow.
By merging Confectionery, Tobacco, News with Health & Beauty and Pharmacy, we created a seamless, all-in-one store concept that meets every passenger’s essential needs.
Designed for convenience and ease, the space is intuitive to navigate, enjoyable to browse, and offers a complete, elevated experience.

WHY?: Our goal was to create a seamless, purpose-driven experience that connects online and in-store touchpoints, making the Click & Collect model fluid, intuitive, engaging for every user. To become a virtuous cycle where online and offline feed each other.
HOW?: We approached the project by mapping the consumer journey to identify moments of friction, expectation, and opportunity. Each stage—from discovery to post-purchase—was designed to feel seamless, clear, and consistent with the brand. We introduced emotional value through personalization, community-inspired storytelling, and thoughtful human interaction. Design and communication worked together to create a modular, efficient environment that reinforced brand recognition across digital and physical touchpoints.

Jewellery brand experiential concept
-
WHY?: Our challenge was to elevate a homegrown brand by creating an immersive 3-story jewelry-making experience that sparks curiosity and deep engagement through storytelling and personalization. The space also serves as an innovation showcase in partnership with the Singapore Tourism Board.
HOW?: Our design follows a gemstone’s evolution from rough to gem. Featuring educational interactive installations from a ‘Rough to Cut’ wall, transporting visitors to the place of origin of each gem, to a ‘Lapidarist in Action’ demonstration showcasing a gem’s polishing and cutting process – visitors will be seamlessly accompanied throughout the whole creation journey of their dream jewels.

Discover souvenir store design and retail guidelines
-
WHY?: Our challenge was to create a truly authentic souvenir store experience, which can be leveraged by Lagardère Travel Retail’s hyper-localizable Discover concept.
HOW?: Though immersion, workshop with our client and airport authorities, we uncovered the shoppers’ evolving expectations of their souvenir stores, which encompass sense of place, of moment and of purpose. To be truly authentic, localized but also experiential and meaningful, we made Discover a store driven by the locals, a “community store”. The design through interchangeable graphics and iconic local elements and a clear guideline book is easily adaptable to different geographies.

Design of a social space for the community
-
WHY?: Our challenge was to design a multi-purpose, dementia-friendly social space that also welcomes families and individuals living with dementia. The concept should bring together a resource centre, senior day care activity area, and a community gym — encouraging multi-generational interaction in a vibrant, inclusive setting at the heart of a residential neighbourhood.
HOW?: In collaboration with Lien Foundation, we created a research-backed, dementia-friendly space that is accessible, inclusive, and tailored to seniors — while serving the wider community.
Named Kampung (Malay for “village”), the space reflects the spirit of togetherness and intergenerational connection. Its branding is warm and dynamic, while the interior design is cosy and inviting — a welcoming environment for all ages.
